Power of Righteous Person
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
James 5:16
Some might think that our verse for today suggest that in order to get good things from God, we must search for a righteous, sinless person and convince him or her to pray for us.
But on the contrary bible says in Romans 3:10, there is none righteous, no, not one.
Which means nobody's prayer has power and produce wonderful results because no one is righteous.
Well, the word of God is always true. As per God's word, A righteous person is one who is not made righteous by His own deeds and actions, but is the one who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and by doing so is washed by the blood of the Lamb, and it considered righteous in the eyes of God.
This is the good news. Yes you and me even though will still have sinful nature in us are considered righteous in God's eyes because we believe in Jesus and are washed by the blood of the Lamb.
Hence, we have now obtained great power and our prayers produces great and wonderful results.
There is a famous quote which says, Nothing can obstruct prayer, even the high mountains or the deepest ocean, even the thickest prison cell guarded by thousands of guards or any powers of this world.
Yes true prayer of righteous person penetrates the impenetrable, melts the hearts and achieve great results. Prayer can shake the mountains and produce results which nothing else could.
All it needs is one righteous person. Today you are that righteous person and God has given the power in you to pray and produce great wonderful result.
So don't give up, pray without ceasing, and you will surely see great results in your life.
