Think Right
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Philippians 4:8
Thoughts, they flood our minds from the moment we rise up from the bed till we go to bed. Many times our thoughts drive us how we act. Our thoughts is based on what we experience, see, hear.
We are usually less concerned with what we are thinking about than with what we are doing.
No one really knows what we're thinking about, but it's a lot easier to find out what we're doing.
Apostle Paul in the verse today tells us to keep our thoughts pure, because our thoughts drive us how we are outside. So he encourages us to fill our mind with honorable thoughts, pure thoughts, thoughts of love, and praiseworthy. Because even though others cannot see, read or hear your thoughts, but God sees it, reads it, and hears it very clearly.
That is why it is important we think honorable, pure, loving and praiseworthy thoughts.
Fill your thoughts with the word of God, with His praise, with faith and hope, because more than what you say from your mouth, what you think about that matters the most for God.
When you think others are better than you, you will treat them better, when you think that God has a great day planned for you, it will be a great day, when you think all things works for your good, then all things will work for good. When you think about God and His goodness, then your love for Him grows, which opens all shut doors in your life. Proverbs 23:7 says, as the man thinks, so is he.
So today you have the control over your thoughts, think right and worthy, and you will see your life is right and worthy of praise and honor.
