Safety Dwelling
In peace, I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.
Psalms 4:8
Different part of the world construct dwellings differently. In the western world where the climate is cold in winter we see the houses are built by woods and sloped roof, in tropical places houses are built with concrete and the roof is flat and called the terrace. In some countries we see dwellings are built with palm leaves, branches, fabric, mud etc.
The very purpose of different kinds of building materials is this, to dwell safely. Depending upon the region, to protect from snow, earthquake, storm, different building materials are used to protect us and make us dwell safely.
Even though we live in these safe homes, still we are prone to danger all the time. The only ultimate safety we get is from our Lord Jesus Christ.
That is what the bible teaches us. Our Lord makes us dwell in safety. Psalmist (King David) learnt this lesson.
No matter how big the danger, the Hand of our God will protect us and make us dwell in safety.
No matter how big the problem, He will protect us
No matter how big the sickness, the one who made you will protect you, because He watches over you. Yes, your Lord Jesus watches you going out and coming in.
So today be in peace, lie down and wake up in peace, for your Lord alone will make you dwell in safety and no harm will fall on you if you trust and obey Him.
