Offer Righteous Sacrifice
Offer Righteous Sacrifices; Trust [confidently] in the LORD.
Psalms 4:5
What is a biblical sacrifice ? It is an offering to given to God to thank Him, and please Him. From the beginning, sacrifice was offered to the Lord who made the heavens and earth.
In the Old Testament, we have read in many places about the sacrifices that were offered to the Lord day and night. There were various kinds of sacrifices offered for various purposes. Sacrifices were offered for forgiveness of sins, for Thanksgiving remembering the hand of God upon the people of Israel, Thanksgiving offering because of God's blessings, protection, healing etc.
These sacrifices were supposed to be righteous sacrifices, that is offering given truly out of the heart loving the Lord most high.
In the New Testament also, the same righteous sacrificial offering is supposed to be offered to our Lord and Father in heaven every day of our life.
In Romans 12:1 apostle Paul talks about offering our body as holy and pleasing sacrifice to our Father in heaven, because He is merciful to us every day.
After Jesus death and resurrection, we no longer have to offer animal sacrifices, but our holy living itself raises up as a sacrifice before Him.
Holy living is this, living as per the word of God, loving your Lord and Father in heaven with all your heart, soul and mind and loving your neighbor as yourself. Holy living is also living as per the will of the Father in heaven every day. When you do this, you offer a righteous sacrifice, which raises up before your God who made you and sent His son Jesus Christ to die for you and accepted you as His own son and daughter. When you offer these righteous sacrifice and trust in Him, He will bring all things to pass in your life and go before you and be with you.
So offer righteous sacrifices today and every day of your life.
