Three-letter-word
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still! And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Mark 4:39
We all face storms in life, some are big and some are small. The storm disturbs the peace. We have a famous saying "calm before the storm". The very purpose of the storm is to disturb the peace.
Many times our life is like a boat which sails on water peacefully until we hit a coming storm. Sometimes we can see the storm coming, and sometimes we don't.
The question is what we do when the storm comes and hits us unexpectedly. How do we respond to it.
The answer is given to us in this passage of Mark 4:35:41
Jesus disciples were travelling in the boat along with Him, when suddenly they were hit by the storm. The storm was so bad that the boat was rocking badly.
Jesus disciples were afraid of death and in panic.
Among all this, Jesus, who was in the boat was calm and in deep sleep.
It is when his disciples came to him and woke him up in panic.
Jesus woke up and calmed the storm with His word. All He said was a three-letter word "Peace, Be Still" and the storm subsided.
Today, Jesus is with you in your boat, the one who can calm the storm is with you. The one who is with you is greater than then one who is in the world, greater than the storm.
So respond as the disciples did, run to him and cry out for help. He is willing to always rescue you and calm every situation that raises against you.
Jesus is in your boat, so don't worry.
