The one with authority
All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Mathew 28:18
After Jesus resurrected He said this word, that all authority has been given to Him not just in heaven but also on earth. What does that mean to us? What authority Jesus has ? In order to answer this question, we need to know what authority means. Authority means power to influence or command thought, opinion, or behavior. So Jesus is saying I have given power to influence how your life is going to be, or command protection over you, healing over you, provision over you, command to give you a break through etc.
Yes, Jesus has every power to overcome the enemy, the devil. In His name there is power. There is power in the blood of Jesus.
Now it is up to us to use this power. Just like how the son or daughter of a power political person uses the power of his or her father to influence and to receive, we also should use the power of our Lord Jesus Christ to influence our lives, situation, circumstances etc.
We should declare we are the child of most High God. We should declare the name of Jesus upon our situation and circumstances.
When we do us, we use the power and authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. We remind the forces of darkness that we are no ordinary, but we come in the name of our Lord Jesus.
The kingdom of darkness only trembles for only one thing, which is the name of Jesus.
So today walk in the power of our Lord Jesus, walk in His authority. Claim the victory in Jesus name. Walk by faith and not by sight.
You are not worshiping a powerless God, you are worshiping a God who has authority in all heaven and earth.
