The Vine

In the world of farming everybody knows that the branches by itself cannot bear any fruit, it has to be perfectly attached to the vine which supplies all the nourishment it needs.
The branch by itself is dead, it gets its life from the vine. The stronger and healthier the vine, the stronger, the healthier are the branches.
The longer the vine lives, the longer the branches live too. The entire existence of the branch depends on the vine.
Jesus uses this as a great example to describe how much He is important in our lives. Without him, we are nothing, and we don't have any life.
He is the true vine, and we are the branches. We receive all the nutrients from Him, we receive life from Him, strength from Him, healing from Him, provisions from Him.
Just like how all the needs of the branch is met by the vine, all our needs of our life is only met by our Lord Jesus Christ.
There is no other place or source from which we can receive help for our need.
This is a very strong and true statement that Jesus made.
The more stronger we abide in the vine, the greater the blessing and greater the fruits we yield.
When the storm comes, we will stand strong because we are abiding in THE VINE, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hence, today, go to our Lord Jesus Christ for all of your lives needs and cares. He will surely supply all your need according to His riches and glory.
As a branch abiding in our Lord Jesus Christ, you will truly flourish. You will live and not die.
