Works of God
Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.
John 9:3
God's works are amazing. He works in ways we cannot see, but the end result will always be glorious. Many times we don't understand the struggle we go thru', the pain we experience, the sufferings that we face, the loss we undergo and failure we face. We may think God is punishing us, God is angry at us, God has left us because we are sinners. This is exactly what the Jesus disciples thought.
In those days, for a man or a woman to be sick is a curse. The society thought that the sickness anybody had been because of their sin and God has punished them.
That is why the disciples ask Jesus this question in v2, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?
Jesus answers and reveals to us a great truth. Jesus said neither this man sinned not his parents, this man is born blind because God's glory will be revealed through him. After saying this Jesus heal this man's blindness and God's miracle glory was manifested through this blind man.
Same thing happens in our lives, when we face struggle, pain, suffering, lose, failure, defeat, it may be sickness, death, loss in business or job loss or lack of peace, whatever it may be, God allows these in our lives for His works to be revealed through us.
So be encouraged today. You didn't do anything wrong or sinned badly, you did not mess up things badly. God has you drawn you in the palm of His hands.
He will surely do the miracle for you, comfort you, and honor you and glorify His name through you.
