Three steps in prayer
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you
Mathew 7:7
Prayer is the most important communication than anything else in the world. When you talk you communicate with other person, when you write you communicate with the reader, when you text you communicate with multiple people, but when you pray you are not communicating with people, you are communicating with God Himself. You are talking to God who made you, who formed you in your mother's womb.
That is why Jesus taught us the right way to pray so that we can communicate right and share our needs right and receive the answers.
Besides praising God and thanking Him for all His gifts and goodness and mercy, asking is another key element in prayer. God wants us to ask Him and receive from Him what we ask.
Asking is the most important part of prayer. If we want anything from God, be it healing, financial deliverance, salvation of loved ones, help in time of need, we need to ask. If we don't ask we don't receive as per James 4:2.
But in asking there are 3 steps, the first is you ask God what you want, it is as simple as that, 2nd step is you seek, that is after you ask you seek His will, That is asking God if what you want is as per His will and the 3rd step after you seek is knock, that is don't just ask and seek what you want just once but ask until you receive, seek until you get it, keep on knocking.
Our Heavenly Father is a Prayer answering God, and He will surely give the desires of your heart when you ask, seek and knock.
