Forerunner

Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

Forerunners are essential in every part of the life. Forerunners pave the way for others to take the same path they took, but much easier. Some example of forerunners include the expedition team which founded new land in ancient days. Vasco da Gama was one such forerunner who explored and found the land of India, this opened trade routes from Portugal to Asia and made way for others.
In the bible, Abraham was one such forerunner. He was the first in his family to step out in faith and believe on Yahweh and his generations were blessed because of that, and they followed the path he paved.
In the verse we read today, Jesus Himself became a forerunner. He came to this world to show mankind how to live a godly life, pleasing to God the Father in every way. He fought trials and tribulations with God given strength and overcame it and paved the way for us, so we can walk smoothly in the path He set for us to the Father in heaven.
We don't have to undergo the same struggle that Jesus had. He overcame the enemy and gave authority to us, so in Jesus name we can overcome every obstacle that comes our way.
We need not have a perfect life from the day we are born, by the grace of Lord Jesus we are saved, and our sins are forgiven, and we are called righteous and are given all authority in heaven and earth to live a blessed day. So today you don't need to be a fore runner, but instead follow the forerunner our Lord Jesus Christ and use the authority He has given you to overcome every struggle, pain, trials in Jesus name. Even if you fall down, stand up, don't feel guilty that you are not holy, Jesus has washed all your sins from the beginning of your life till the end on the cross. Just bear the grace He has given you and do not bear the burden. Be a follower and not a forerunner.
