Unexpected
For this is what the Lord says: You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water.
2 Kings 3:17
We serve a God who is Mighty and does the unexpected things in our lives. He is a God who creates new things out of nothing. He works in ways we cannot see
He makes a pathway through the wilderness, and creates rivers in the dry wasteland.
Many times when we pray, we expect God to show up and do miracles and answer us in the way we wanted. We expect that our hard labor and intense prayer will enable the miracle.
We think it is the effort from us that will make the miracle happen. We expect a rain and wind to come to fill the trough. When we don't see the rain or wind,
we get disappointed and discouraged and tend to give up on Him.
In fact, when you don't see anything happening after you pray, that is the sign that something is happening. Our part is to pray and believe and wait for the answer.
God's part is to perform the miracle in His way, so that He alone takes the glory.
Do not be discouraged if your problems are not getting better but worse, do not be discouraged if the sickness is not healed and no sign of healing, do not be discouraged if the miracle you are expecting is not happening, and you see neither rain nor wind, that is a sign of miracle happening. It all happens suddenly in His way. The Red Sea split suddenly when the Israelites didn't expect it at all, Lazarus came out of the tomb after4 days when no one expected it.
So today, expect the unexpected. The Lord who loves you will do it for you.
