All things New
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Watching home renovation shows in TV is fun. There is something magical about the transformation of a tired old room into a cozy place of rest. It is a tedious and tiresome job to renovate a home. Tearing down old walls, pulling out nails, getting dirty, tired. But the result is a home that is beautiful, refreshing, functional, and welcoming.
This is what happens to us when we accept Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We exchange our old life for a new one. We exchange sin for forgiveness, pride for humility, legalism for grace, fear for love, weakness for strength, and anger for joy. We become a new creation, refreshed, beautiful from inside out, functioning well and welcoming. Once we surrender our lives to God, He sends his Holy Spirit to dwell within us and begin a process of transformation. Transforming us into His image, making us like Him, giving us a life like Him, victorious and blessed in every way.
The process of Transformation involves tearing down old walls, pulling out nails, and sometimes it is painful and tiring, but it is all for our own Good.
So today, whatever you are facing or happening in your life, take courage and know that God always does good to you and does not harm you. All that may seem bad in your eyes, He turns it around for good and makes you new.
