Hand of God

He was a scribe skilled in the Law of Moses that the Lord, the God of Israel, had given, and the king granted him all that he asked, for the hand of the Lord his God was on him.

Ezra 7:6

God used Ezra mightily to teach His laws to the people of Israel and also to rebuild and restore the 2nd temple of Israel. More than just a scribe, he was skilled in knowing God's law and understanding its purpose and plan. He also was a man of action, not just thinking about what he had learned, but doing what he felt God wanted.
Ezra also understood political realities and the importance of official actions and historical records. Inspired by these concerns, he approached the king, who granted him all that he asked. Ezra found great favor in the eyes of the king of Persia, which enabled him to journey to Jerusalem to revive the 2nd temple.
There might have been many contributing factors for the favor Ezra received from the king, but the central reason was that God’s hand was on him. As was confirmed after he arrived in Jerusalem, “the good hand of his God was on him.” This proved that Ezra was in tune with God. He was not being emotional, but genuinely was inspired by Him. He was shrewd and discerning, but the foundation of his success was his relationship with God.
Today, this same God that Ezra worshiped wants to guide you as well and help you find favor where it is due. The hand of God even today leads you, helps you, restores you, goes before you and makes way for you. The hand of God is all around you, and you are not alone and lost. Do you need guidance and direction from Him, do you need deliverance from the troubles you face, whatever your situation may be, Hand of God will see you through? All you have to do is pray, seek Him with all your heart and love Him. Do not look for other options to save you. Look to your Savior Jesus, who alone can deliver you from all.
