The Rewarder

He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6

We live in a fast-food, microwave driven society. We want things easier, quicker, and less expensive. And while there is nothing wrong about wanting things faster and cheaper, if we aren’t careful, we can allow that spirit to come into our spiritual lives which can have devastating effects.
God does not work on the principle of faster and cheaper; it’s often the opposite – mostly, He works on timetables that don’t line up with our human understanding. In fact, His ways always turn to be the right one.
In Genesis 25 we read about an incident in the bible, which demonstrates what can faster and hurrying up can do, instead of waiting. Esau, who came from hunting and was hungry, couldn’t wait to have his food. He was so desperate that he even sold his own birthright.
Being desperate to receive God’s blessings is good, but how we act when we are desperate is very important. That is fasting and prayer plays a vital role. When we are desperate and when we go to God in fasting and prayer and not rushing to meet our needs with our own effort, God honors it.
Fasting and Prayer is a way we say to God, “I am desperate, hungry” for whatever you have desired, may be spiritual or material such as healing, deliverance etc. You can be sure God will respond to your fasting and prayer, because you are demonstrating your hearts cry and God rewards those who diligently seek Him.
