Good Gifts

How much more will your Heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him.

Mathew 7:10

A great way to begin each day is by focusing on who God is! Bible says that God is not only good but He has made a covenant with us to do good and He rejoices in doing good. That is who He is. He wants to do good. He longs to do good. If our earthly parents with lot of limitations can do good us, imagine how much good will our Heavenly Father do to us who has no limitations.

When we call God our Father, it reminds us that we are His children. He loves, cares for, and provides for His children. He is a great dad. But, you may ask a question, “if Heavenly Father is so good then why am I going thru’ pain and suffering?” This is a question everyone has. The short answer is “God allows pain and suffering so we can get closer to Him and look to Him always”. In this world filled with sin, we get easily carried away by it and tend to forget who God is.

That being said, God does not always want you to suffer so you can be near to Him. Sometimes these pain and suffering reminds us that there is a God who loves us, cares for us, protects us and carries us on His shoulders.

Fasting and Praying is one event which enables us to feel and experience God’s goodness. It helps us draw and get near to God much closer than we do in other times. When we get closer to God all others fade away in our live and His love and goodness around surround us. When you get much closer to God, your pain and suffering has no place there, you will be filled by His presence.

Today rejoice while you fast and pray, you have gone closer, much closer to God who loves you beyond your wildest dreams. Surrender all your burdens at His feet and rejoice His goodness. He will take care of all that concerns you and will give you His peace and good gifts. All things works for good to those who love God and called according to His purpose. Shalom.
