The Impossible

The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.

Luke 1:35

We all face impossible situations in our lives. Be it health, finances, family issues, marriage issues, many of these circumstances lead us to believe it impossible to overcome it and come out of it. We tend to believe what is seen and not on the unseen.
Our God is a God of impossibilities, who has limitless power. In Luke 1, we read about the moment Mary, as an unmarried virgin, receives news from an angel that she would bear and give birth to the Son of God. Talk about hearing something that sounded impossible! Unsurprisingly, her initial reaction would be like ours today, “How can this be?” A legitimate question! And in short response, this messenger of God answers, nothing will be impossible with God.”
Mary chose to believe God despite what her mind knew to be possible, and it set the stage for the greatest event in history. The reality is that God wants us to believe Him for the impossible because by working supernaturally in our lives He sets the stage to show His power and glory to a watching world.
Mary did not know how everything would take place; she simply knew it would work out because nothing is impossible with God.
Prayer and fasting enables us to believe in the impossible God. Prayer and fasting increases our faith, reduces our worldly sight, makes our spiritual sight better. It grows our spiritual understanding and things about God.
Today as you fast and pray, believe in the Lord Jesus who alone can do impossible things in your life. May the power of the Most High overshadow you and enable you to receive the impossible blessings from God Almighty.
