The Season
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven
Ecclesiastes 3:1
When God created the heavens and the earth, He also created the seasons. In other words, everything God created had seasons. Every year we come across four different seasons and call it Summer, Winter, Autumn and Spring. Depending on the geographical location some places have a monsoon season full of rain. Seasons helps in many ways, mainly in agriculture and crop growing. Seasons balances the nature and controls the pattern itself.
Like the seasons that exist in the physical world, God has created seasons in the spiritual world as well, which is for our own benefit. These seasons in the spiritual world balances our life and is a gateway to our blessing. Like in the natural world, there is a time of sowing and reaping in the spiritual world as well.
Bible urges us to look at our lives like the seasons of the year. To remember how there is “a time for every purpose.” In His timetable, He has made everything “beautiful in its time.”
The perspective of seasons can help us understand the situations we go through. We experience seasons, just like the seasons of the year. There is a time to Sow, and a time to Reap. And there may be “winters” when it may seem that nothing will grow.
Today, you may be going through the “winter” of your life. You may not see the fruit that you desire. It may seem that God is not answering your prayers. But the Bible urges you to remember the seasons of life. Spring and summer may be just ahead, and so is the Harvest of autumn. Make sure that you keep Sowing Seed, and expecting a Harvest of blessings from Him.
Do not be discouraged. Never give up. Keep Sowing Seeds from the time, talent, and treasure you have been given. And remember to be patient, trusting God. Like the farmer who sows the seed and waiting patiently trusting for the rain. If you are faithful, He will bring you through this season, bless you with an abundant Harvest, and show you that there is “a time for every purpose under heaven” in your life.
