Rolls away the reproach

Then the LORD said to Joshua, “This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” Therefore the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day.

Joshua 5:9

The children of Israel were in slavery for 430 years. Lord delivered them from Egypt with His mighty hand. Since the Israelites disobeyed God, they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. After all this they finally entered the promise land and crossed the Jordon River. They were now free, no slave to anybody, have their own possession and God was with them. Adonai (Lord) rolled away all their shame and reproach from among them. All the nations which mocked them before now we're scared to death because of what the Lord did for Israelites at the Red Sea and the river Jordan.
The God whom we worship “Adonai” is the same God who lead the children of Israel and who rolled away all their reproach. Today you may be walking in the same path as the Israelites, you may be walking in the wilderness with no place of your own, no identity, no hope and future. May be your spiritual walk is like a wilderness experience, may be what you have started has not flourished, maybe your sickness shows no improvement and you have frequent pains and you are living in fear.
God promises you that He is rolling away all the reproach of Egypt from you. May it be sickness, disappointment, failure, hopelessness, wilderness experience, confusion, fear. We read it Joshua 5:11 that after God rolled away the reproach from among them, the children of Israel for the first time ate their produce of the land.
God is not only rolling away the reproach from you, but has promised to bless the work of your hands, the fruit of your labor, your livestock, your barn and pour a spiritual blessing also on you. Look at the children of Israel, this same miracle will also happen to you. Hold on to this promise and look up to the hills (mount Zion) from where your helps come from. Your help comes from the Lord, who made the heaven and earth, who also will roll away the reproach from you and bless you.
