El-Shaddai

Thus says the Lord: ‘Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. Where is the house you will build for Me? And where is My resting place?

Isaiah 66:1

In this powerful declaration, God reminds us of His majesty and sovereignty. Heaven is His throne ,the seat of His glory, and the vast earth is merely His footstool. These words humble us, showing how small our human accomplishments are compared to the greatness of God. No building, no structure, no work of our hands can contain or define Him.
Yet, this same Almighty God chooses to dwell not in temples made by human hands, but in the hearts of those who are humble, repentant, and reverent before Him (Isaiah 66:2). God does not seek a grand building, He seeks surrendered hearts. The true temple He desires is within us — a heart yielded, obedient, and filled with His Spirit.
This is the great truth that we should understand and realize everyday. Almighty God (El-Shaddai) is within us. The King of Glory chooses to dwell with us and in us. The One who reigns over heaven and earth desires intimate fellowship with His people.
Hence our every action, words and thoughts must be holy, realizing El-Shaddai is in us. God dwelling is us was possible because of the precious price (the blood of Lord Jesus Christ) paid for us.
Reflection:
Think this truth everyday and every moment. When temptations come to test you, have you been able to stop and realize who you are with? It is important how you react, because what you do shows the world who is inside of you.
Prayer:
You are exalted above the heavens, and the earth is Your footstool. Who am I that You are mindful of me? Yet You choose to dwell with those who are humble and seek You with a sincere heart. Lord, I offer You my heart as Your dwelling place. Let my life reflect Your presence and glory. Teach me to worship You not just in words, but in spirit and truth. May my walk and life show to those around me your wonderful and awesome nature.
In Jesus’ mighty name.
