Zealous for you

But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, “Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.”

Genesis 20:3

When Abraham went to Gerar, King Abimelech unknowingly took Sarah into his household to be his wife.
But before any harm could come to her, God intervened.
In the stillness of the night, God spoke directly to Abimelech, warning him seriously and protected Abraham’s wife.
This moment shows how deeply zealous God is for His people—He watches over them even when they cannot defend themselves.
God did not allow Abraham’s enemy to touch what belonged to him.
Instead, He changed Abimelech’s heart and turned an enemy into someone who honored Abraham and blessed him.
This shows the power of God’s divine protection and favor—He moves in the hearts of kings, rulers, and even adversaries to fulfill His purposes for His children.
The same God who was zealous for Abraham is zealous for you.
He guards your life, your calling, and your blessings.
When you walk with Him, He will cause even those who rise against you to yield, show favor and bless you.
God is working behind the scenes for you, even now while you read this devotion, shifting hearts and circumstances in your favor.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being zealous for me just as You were for Abraham. Thank You for protecting me, fighting for me, and turning the hearts of others in my favor. Help me to rest in Your faithfulness and walk in confidence, knowing You watch over every detail of my life. Amen.
