Great reward
After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
Genesis 15:1
A reward is something given in return for a person’s effort, service, good behavior, or achievement.
Rewards carry many blessings—such as motivation, recognition, satisfaction, joy, fulfillment, and peace.
Because Abraham was faithful and righteous before God, the Lord Himself became Abraham’s greatest reward.
Today, we are even more blessed than Abraham, for our righteousness does not come from ourselves but through Christ’s righteousness.
Therefore, Christ Himself is our ultimate reward. He motivates us, satisfies us, fills us with His joy and peace, and fulfills His perfect plans in our lives.
All we need to do is trust Him and yield to His ways.
Remember, Abraham’s Christ is your Christ, and Abraham’s reward is also your reward.
So what will you do with this reward? Treasure Him, walk with Him, and enjoy every moment in His presence—He will make all things perfect in your life.
