Blessed through the seed

In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.

Genesis 22:18

One of the most well-known events in the Bible is Abraham’s obedience to God when he was asked to sacrifice his son Isaac. This act of faith touched God deeply, and in response, He blessed Abraham with the greatest promise of all—the blessing of the Seed.
Because Abraham trusted and obeyed God wholeheartedly, the Lord chose his bloodline as the channel through which His Son would come, to restore what was lost in the Garden of Eden. That promised Seed is the Lord Jesus Christ, who was born as a descendant of Abraham. Through Him, all nations—including you and me—are blessed.
When we believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, we enter into that same blessing. We now live under the abundance of God’s favor, love, mercy, and grace. We no longer face the punishment we deserve for our sins—this is mercy. Instead, we receive blessings and goodness far beyond what we deserve—this is grace.
So in every situation of life, remember: you are blessed through the Seed because you believe in Christ. Therefore, all things will work together for your good. Do not fix your eyes on your circumstances, but on God’s promise. His Word is true, and He will cause everything to turn out better than you could ever imagine.
