Finding good
He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he.
Proverbs 16:20
We all want good things to happen to us. It is not wrong to desire good. We take the effort to find the good. Whether it is enrolling our children in a school, or applying for a job or launching a business or buying a home, we search, seek, and take every effort to find the good. Find a good school, a good job, good home to buy.
But many times, even inspite of our search and effort , we end up not satisfied with the school or job or house.
Today's verse guarantees good to us, if we do this.
Heed seriously and carefully to God's word and obey it.
Heed means listen. When we listen to the instructions in God's word and seriously follow it in our lives,
good will follow us, and it will not disappoint us.
So take every effort to seek and find God's instructions and diligently follow them, this will automatically bring goodness in your life.
God's word is pure (Psalm 119:140), that is tested, tried many times throughout generations, and it has never failed anyone.
Find good by heeding to God's word.
