Sleep satisfied
The fear of the LORD leads to life, so that one may sleep satisfied, untouched by evil.
Proverbs 19:23
Many of the believers in Christ are on the fence between following God wholeheartedly and following the idols of choice.
The idols may include money, career, relationships, wealth, and so on.
While these are not wrong by itself unless it becomes the focus of our life.
Many of us want to be in both camps.
We want to be in God's camp and at the same time in the camp of the world.
But this proverb teaches us that when we are fully in God's camp, that is, fear the LORD in all we do, then we sleep satisfied, untouched by evil.
The many problems and suffering we undergo are because of being in both camps.
We need to make the switch to God's camp completely, because it is where life and all that we need for an abundant life is.
Seeking the Kingdom of God and fearing the Lord will add all things we need for life and make us sleep satisfied.
So if it is you today on the fence, jump to God's camp, and may your focus be Christ Himself.
He never fails and will satisfy you with good things and keep you in all your ways.
