City without walls

As God's children we are called to have control over our spirit. That is to have self-control especially over our emotions and behavior.
When we lack self-control we become like a city with broken walls. Which means we allow enemies to come in and steel and cause destruction.
Emotions play a vital part in our life.
Be it anger, sadness, disappointment, jealousy, hatred.
As long as we live in the flesh we are vulnerable to these types of emotions which leads to bad behavior and hence destruction.
But we don't have to be caught by it.
God has given us the Holy Spirit who helps us in our weakness.
But we have to co-operate with Him. The more we are aware of the presence of Almighty God living inside of us, we would be able to control our emotions.
Guard your city, that guard your life.
Don't let incidents and circumstances flare up your emotions.
Trust and hope in God for everything. Give thanks to Him and be at peace.
Tame your emotions so that your life is well guarded and prevent from getting into numerous problems.
